A Home Built on Love, Care, and Belonging

Founded in 2012, IQ70+ is more than a care center, it is a loving home where individuals with intellectual disabilities are cared for, supported, and embraced like family.

Supporting Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities to Learn, Grow, and Live with Dignity

Through care, education, and support, we help individuals with intellectual disabilities grow and live with dignity.

From Loss to a Mission of Love

After experiencing the heartbreaking loss of his child, Mr. Zheng Ming Jie transformed his grief and regret into a lifelong mission to care for and protect more children in need. Guided by the belief that no child should ever be left helpless or without care, he founded IQ70+ to create a safe, warm, and loving home for individuals with intellectual disabilities — a place where they can be cared for, supported, and feel a true sense of belonging.

Understanding intellectual disability

An average IQ is around 100, while people with intellectual disabilities usually have an IQ below 70. Causes may include genetics, growth environment, illness, accidents, or other factors.

IQ
50-70

Mild

These children face greater difficulty in basic academic subjects such as reading, writing, arithmetic, and interpersonal communication. The issue is often only discovered after they begin school.

The center helps arrange placement in special education schools while also providing self-care training and work skills training.

IQ
35-50

Moderate

In the five basic self-care skills such as walking, eating, hygiene, dressing, and bathing, these children can usually complete only one to two tasks and require more assistance.

The center arranges one-to-one training with occupational and physical therapists, with the goal of helping them enter special education schools and develop basic work skills in the future.

IQ
20-35

Severe

These children are almost unable to independently complete any self-care tasks and need long-term care from others.

According to welfare department requirements, the center needs to provide one dedicated caregiver for every four children with severe disabilities, and arrange physiotherapy to prevent muscle atrophy and other complications caused by long-term bed rest.
