He cannot do what other babies do, rest peacefully in his mother's arms, drink milk, fall asleep, and grow up slowly. After just a few sips of milk, he gasps for breath. His weight refuses to climb. Every single breath takes everything he has.
The doctors say: He must have surgery as soon as possible. If they wait any longer, his life could be in danger at any moment. And yet they have hit the most difficult wall of all: reality.

His father is a renovation worker. Every ringgit he had saved over the years, scraped together through years of frugal living, was handed over the moment his child was diagnosed. His mother used to work as a cleaner, but she has since left her job to stay by her child's side, around the clock.
